Educating the Refugee Nation: More is Needed
This month we welcome Carma Elliot, College President of the United World College South East Asia (UWCSEA), to speak about the often-overlooked issue of access to education among displaced and refugee youth. Young refugees and those internally displaced are five times more likely to be out of school than more fortunate young people. Yet for refugee communities, it is critical to educate future leaders with strong abilities, social consciousness and a drive for peace and reconciliation.
Join us to learn what is being done, including the UWC Refugee Initiative, and how developing more inclusive approaches to education can impact the future for us all.
